Yesterday's Exciting Matatu Ride

I was just telling Wendy about my experience yesterday with the matatu and she gave me the low-down. She left the house after me yesterday to get her hair done in the area where we wait for the matatu. She said that folks were talking about how the mafia were just in the area harassing the matatu drivers. Whoa...I had a run-in with the Nairobi mafia. Really, it was a super random event. Had I been at the stop 10 minutes earlier, I would not have had that experience. She also told me that the route James took yesterday is a great shortcut which he often uses when there is a lot of traffic. It was just a bit freaky because I had no idea where we were...I really had to trust James.
